Required Skills & Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
  • Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) nursing preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate care to elderly and chronically ill patients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Proficient in medication administration, wound care, and patient monitoring
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and charting

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a long term care setting
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following physician orders and facility protocols
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes promptly to the healthcare team
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies
  • Educate patients and families regarding care plans, medications, and health promotion
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Current RN license in Wisconsin, in good standing
  • Prior experience in long term care nursing strongly preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
