Required Skills & Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
- Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to provide compassionate care to elderly and chronically ill patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Proficient in medication administration, wound care, and patient monitoring
- Basic computer skills for documentation and charting
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a long term care setting
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following physician orders and facility protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes promptly to the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans, medications, and health promotion
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in Wisconsin, in good standing
- Prior experience in long term care nursing strongly preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
