Position Details

Responsibilities
- Administer medications and therapies including anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy
- Provide IV therapy/Phlebotomy as needed for patient care
- Administer blood and blood products and support safe specimen/med management
- Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC) according to unit protocol
- Support Labor and Delivery care, including assisting with high-risk delivery and circulating for C-section
- Provide postpartum care, including C-section recovery support and wound assessment/care
- Perform sterile vaginal exams as appropriate to care plans
- Support antepartum triage of obstetrical patients
- Assist with pain management, including epidural anesthesia support, pain assessment & management, and PCA (IV) use
- Perform fetal monitoring support, including IUPC (intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration
- Maintain infection control using isolation precautions/PPE
- Support teaching hospital workflows and patient education as part of daily practice
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience (screen for less than 2 years)
- Charting system: Epic (required)
- Certifications required: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP
- Travel experience: not required (minimum 2 years of experience required)
