- Shift: Day (3x12 hours), 7:00–19:00
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 hours/week
- Pay: $54.00–$64.00 per hour (hourly)
- Charting system: Epic (required)
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for a neuro/telemetry patient population, including pre/post neurosurgery and recovery support
- Manage respiratory needs such as BiPAP/CPAP therapy and chest tubes using Emerson/PleurEvac equipment
- Support care for neurological conditions including craniotomy, CVA, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
- Interpret and respond to dysrhythmias, including management during cardiac monitoring
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation per clinical standards
- Support emergency response needs in the clinical setting
Requirements
- 1 year of RN experience
- Patient ratio experience: 1:4–5
- Epic charting required
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Patient care skills with BiPAP/CPAP management
- Chest tube management with Emerson/PleurEvac
- Experience caring for neuro conditions including craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
- Cardiac monitoring experience, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Neuro Stepdown and telemetry work setting experience
- Procedural sedation administration/monitoring experience
