About This Position
Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN - General) in Issaquah, WA—take on a 26-week Travel/Contract assignment in PostPartum with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a Night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30). Responsibilities
- Provide postpartum care across vaginal delivery and cesarean section patients
- Support postpartum hemorrhage care
- Assist with pregnancy induced hypertension management as needed
- Conduct newborn assessment and ongoing newborn care
- Provide infant identification per unit standards
- Support thermoregulation and routine newborn safety
- Support discharge teaching to parents
- Provide care related to newborn hypoglycemia
- Implement phototherapy as needed
- Perform post-epidural pain management including pain assessment & management
- Support opioid and PCA (IV) use as applicable
- Complete bladder assessment and perform Foley catheter insertion as required
- Provide breast feeding instructions
- Support episiotomy/incision care
- Complete fundus/lochia/perineum care
- Use electric/manual breast pump for postpartum support
Requirements
- 2 years of RN experience (screen for less than 2 years)
- Required charting system: Epic
- Travel experience required
- Certifications: BLS
- Certifications: NRP
