About This Position
Join our team as a Registered Nurse on a Labor and Delivery travel contract in Issaquah, WA. This 26-week opportunity offers consistent day shifts, guaranteed hours, and the chance to support patients throughout the childbirth experience.
Position Details

Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and surgical patients.
- Monitor patient conditions, respond to changing clinical needs, and communicate effectively with the care team.
- Document patient care accurately and support coordinated care throughout the admission.
- Promote patient education, comfort, safety, and continuity of care.
Requirements
- Epic charting experience required.
- ACLS certification required.
- Current AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, and NRP certifications.
- Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy, including administration of blood and blood products and maintenance of central lines, including CVCs and PICCs.
- Experience with anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy.
- Labor and Delivery skills, including assisting with high-risk deliveries, circulating for C-sections, recovering C-sections, and performing sterile vaginal examinations.
- Pain management skills, including epidural anesthesia, pain assessment and management, and use of IV PCA.
- Experience in high-risk antepartum care and Labor and Delivery within a teaching hospital setting is required.
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE.
- Experience triaging obstetrical patients.
- Experience with IUPC placement and calibration.
- Experience with postpartum wound assessment and care.
- Typical work setting includes 200–300 births per month.

Experience
