About This Position

Responsibilities
- Provide IV therapy and phlebotomy, including administration of blood and blood products and maintenance of central lines, including CVCs and PICCs.
- Administer and monitor anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy.
- Support high-risk deliveries, circulate for C-sections, recover C-sections, and perform sterile vaginal examinations.
- Provide pain assessment and management, including epidural anesthesia support and use of IV PCA.
- Provide care in Labor & Delivery and high-risk antepartum settings.
- Follow isolation precautions and use appropriate PPE.
- Triage obstetrical patients.
- Use, place, and calibrate IUPCs, or intrauterine pressure catheters.
- Perform wound assessment and care during postpartum care.
Requirements
- Current ACLS certification required.
- AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, and NRP certifications required.
- Epic charting experience required.
- Teaching hospital experience required.
- Experience supporting a setting with approximately 200–300 births per month.
