About This Position
Join Quick2Hire as a Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel contract in Everett, WA. This day-shift opportunity places you in the Medical Intensive Care Unit S with 36 guaranteed hours per week and a schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
Provide attentive critical care nursing for patients with complex medical, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, renal, endocrine, and multisystem conditions. Support safe clinical care through continuous assessment, evidence-based interventions, accurate documentation, emergency response, infection prevention, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
Requirements
- Epic charting experience required
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Arterial line management
- Blood product administration
- Central line care and management
- PICC line management
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Assistance with chest tube insertion and removal
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Care of ventilated patients
- High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
- Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Suctioning, including ETT and NT
- Ventilator management
- Care of patients with chronic or acute renal failure
- Continuous IV sedation
- Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
- Titration of cardiac drips
- Titration of vasoactive drips
- CVA and acute stroke management
- Hypothermia protocol and Arctic Sun
- ICP monitoring required
- Infection prevention
- Isolation precautions and PPE
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
- IV insulin protocols
- Medical Intensive Care Unit and Surgical Intensive Care Unit work settings
- Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization/intervention care
- Pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring required
- Sheath removal required

Education Requirements
Complete 2 hours of stroke-specific education each year.
Experience
- At least 1 year of nursing experience
- Experience with a 1:2–3 patient ratio
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience is not required
- First-time travelers are accepted with at least 2 years of ICU experience
