Position Details

- Assignment: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week
- Start date: October 26, 2026
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, attentive nursing care before, during, and after diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Monitor patients, recognize changes in condition, and communicate clinical concerns promptly.
- Support procedural workflow, maintain accurate documentation, and promote infection prevention and patient safety.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary procedural team across cardiac, vascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, pulmonary, and electrophysiology services.
Requirements
- Epic charting experience is required.
- ACLS certification is required.
- BLS certification is required.
- End-Tidal CO2 monitoring
- Activated Clotting Time (ACT)
- Circulate procedures
- External compression devices, including C-Clamp and sandbags
- Hypothermia protocol
- Infection prevention
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Isolation precautions and PPE
- Laser-assisted procedure
- Monitoring procedural sedation
- Sheath removal and monitoring
- Topical hemostasis, including D-Stat, Chito-Seal, and Syvek Patch
- Ventilator management
- Gastrointestinal studies and procedures: angioplasty, chemoembolization, gastrostomy tube placement, liver biopsy, paracentesis, and TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt)
- Vascular studies and procedures: angioplasty, carotid stenting, central venous access for non-tunneled/PICC placement, central venous access/port placement, dialysis graft interventional procedures, endovascular interventions, and upper and lower extremity angiography
- Neurological studies and procedures: angioplasty, carotid angiography, cerebral angiography, embolization, neurologic thrombolysis, stent placement, and vertebroplasty
- Medications: antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, reversal agents, and thrombolytics
- Cardiac Cath Lab procedures: ASD closures, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, interventional catheterizations, left heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, right heart catheterization, and Rotablator atherectomy
- IV therapy: blood product administration, IV infusion pumps, and starting and maintaining IVs
- Work settings: diagnostic cardiac cath lab, hybrid OR, interventional cardiac cath lab, interventional radiology, pediatric diagnostic cath lab, pediatric interventional cath lab, and special procedures
- Genitourinary studies and procedures: embolization, nephrostomy, renal angiography, renal artery stent placement, and uterine arterial embolization
- Electrophysiology procedures: pacemaker insertion
- Pulmonary studies and procedures: pulmonary angiography and pulmonary embolization
