Responsibilities
Support respiratory and neuro diagnostics services by providing safe, timely respiratory care, airway support, medication delivery, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and clinical assessment across assigned care settings.
Requirements
- Certifications and credentials: ACLS (required), BLS, PALS (required), RRT, and Washington license.
- Medication delivery systems: Aerosol setup with mask, aerosol setup with trach, Medihaler, and Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI).
- Medication administration: Albuterol, Atrovent, Bicarbonate (required), Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled Flolan (required), inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Ketamine (required), Lidocaine, Mucomyst (required), Nitric Oxide (iNO) (required), Perforomist, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Theophylline (required), Tobramycin, and Xopenex.
- Ventilator management: BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms (required), and weaning from mechanical ventilation (required).
- Work settings: Emergency Department (required) and pediatrics (required).
- Airway management and suctioning: Extubation, nasal airway placement, nasal airway suctioning, oral airway placement, oral/nasal suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy care/management.
- Nebulizer therapy: Handheld, T-piece, and trach collar.
- Professional knowledge: Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs).
- Oxygen therapy: Trach collar.
- Additional skills: Trauma and rapid response (required).

Experience
- At least 2 years of experience.
- Teaching hospital experience preferred.
- Trauma Level I experience preferred.
