Requirements
- Experience: 1 year of RN experience (may screen with 6 months of Med/Surg experience with catheter experience)
- Travel Experience: Yes — seasoned traveler required
- Certifications: BLS
- Charting System: Preferred, Epic
- Community Hospital Experience: Preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform telephone triage (required) and follow up phone calls
- Provide patient teaching and education using universal precautions
- Manage biohazard waste disposal and maintain safe care standards
- Complete chart preparation and maintain accurate documentation
- Handle pharmacy calls/patient refill requests and support appointment scheduling
- Support setup and assistance with procedures, including sterile/aseptic tray setup
- Perform dressing change (required)
- Administer emergency medications and nitroglycerin
- Provide intramuscular medication administration
- Perform Foley catheter insertion/management
- Handle cath exchange (hard stop)
- Support specimen collection, including labeling and urine UA/clean catch
- Perform urine dipstick/urinalysis
- Collect and document clinical assessments including vital signs, pain assessment, and patient questionnaire/history/allergies
- Interpret laboratory results and determine next steps in clinic workflow
- Work within clinic areas including Family Care clinic (required), Internal Medicine (required), Triage (required), Urgent Care (required), and Urology (required)
- Perform intravesicular BCG (required)
