Responsibilities
- Perform patient charting using the Epic charting system
- Provide telephone triage and coordinate next steps based on patient concerns
- Complete patient assessments including obtain vital signs, pulse oximetry, pain assessment, height/weight, and patient questionnaire/history/allergies
- Support medication reconciliation, medication refills, and pharmacy calls/patient refill requests
- Teach and educate patients as part of their care plan
- Manage universal precautions and proper biohazard waste disposal
- Handle women’s health presentations including vaginal bleeding, ectopic pregnancy, pelvic inflammatory disease, pelvic exam support, placenta abruptio/previa, pregnancy-induced hypertension, spontaneous abortion, and urogenics needs
- Use EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring) as required for patient care
- Provide endocrine and metabolic monitoring including blood glucose monitoring
- Support neurological evaluation for altered level of consciousness
- Assist with cardiovascular care needs including chest pain, hypertension, and cardiac arrest/CPR readiness
- Be prepared for emergency response including AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use and oxygen administration
- Provide renal/guanitourinary support including Foley catheter insertion/management
- Support OB/GYN high-risk workflows including triage and high-risk OB care
- Follow up with patients via phone calls and schedule appointments

- Licensure/credential: Registered Nurse (RN)
