Join our team as a Registered Nurse in Seattle, WA—take on a 13-week Travel/Contract assignment in Labor and Delivery with guaranteed 36 hours/week. Night shifts (3x12 hours) starting 2026-09-14.

Responsibilities
- Labor and Delivery management, including high-risk delivery support
- Assist with vaginal delivery and sterile vaginal exams
- Circulate for C-section, including assisting with recoveries
- Support assisted delivery as needed (forceps/vacuum extraction)
- Respond to hemorrhage/shock and provide postpartum care
- Provide postpartum care for a range of conditions (including postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension)
- Support couplet care and care for multiple births
- Assist with postpartum procedures and ongoing patient needs
- Deliver breastfeeding/lactation support
- Assist with episiotomy/incisional care
- Perform Foley catheter insertion/management
- Provide fundus/lochia/perineum care
- Use electric/manual breast pump as needed
- Support wound assessment/care
- Support pain management, including epidural anesthesia, general anesthesia, and nitrous oxide
- Administer and monitor pain medications, including opioids
- Support pain assessment and management
- Provide neonatal care in the delivery room, including APGAR scoring and neonatal resuscitation
- Perform newborn assessment and support newborn hypoglycemia management
- Manage thermoregulation (radiant warmers/thermoregulation)
- Collect cord samples and complete ID/security banding
- Provide neonatal support as part of delivery-room teamwork (“baby catcher” duties)
- Support fetal monitoring, including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Use external fetal monitoring as assigned
- Start and maintain IVs
- Support antepartum care, including triage of obstetrical patients
- Support care related to surgical procedures, including tubal ligation
- Follow isolation precautions/PPE and support vaccine administration
- Document care accurately in Epic
Requirements
- 3 years of experience required in a high acuity & high pace Labor and Delivery environment
- ACLS (required)
- AWHONN Advanced (required)
- BLS
- NRP
- Travel experience: not required
- Ability to provide 1:1–2 patient ratio care
- Required: Epic charting
- Required skills/clinical abilities include starting and maintaining IVs
- Required: Anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin (oxytocin), terbutaline
- Required: Nitrous oxide
- Required: Amnioinfusion
- Required: Triage of obstetrical patients
