Join our team as a Registered Nurse in Seattle, WA—take on a 26-week Travel/Contract opportunity in Labor and Delivery with night shifts (4x12 hours) and guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Manage labor and delivery care, including high-risk support and assisting with vaginal deliveries
- Perform C-section support, including circulating for C-section and assisting with recovery of C-sections
- Support operative vaginal delivery, including forceps/vacuum extraction
- Assist with hemorrhage/shock response and related postpartum needs
- Conduct sterile vaginal exams
- Administer and manage obstetric medications and therapies, including anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), and terbutaline
- Provide neonatal care in the delivery room, including APGAR scoring, neonatal resuscitation, collecting cord samples, and ID/security banding
- Support neonatal thermoregulation using radiant warmers/thermoregulation
- Deliver postpartum care, including bladder distension, couplet care, multiple births support, postpartum hemorrhage care, pregnancy induced hypertension support, and postpartum care following vaginal deliveries
- Provide postpartum procedures and nursing care, including breastfeeding/lactation support, episiotomy/incisional care, Foley catheter insertion/management, and fundus/lochia/perineum care
- Support use of electric/manual breast pumps and complete wound assessment/care
- Support pain management activities, including epidural anesthesia, general anesthesia, nitrous oxide administration, and opioid pain support
- Perform pain assessment and management
- Use isolation precautions/PPE and support vaccine administration as needed
- Support newborn assessment, newborn hypoglycemia care, and thermoregulation
- Perform fetal monitoring tasks, including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and use of external fetal monitoring
- Start and maintain IVs
- Provide antepartum triage of obstetrical patients
- Assist with surgical cases/procedures including tubal ligation
Requirements
- Active RN license
- 3+ years of experience in a high acuity & high pace environment (required)
- Patient ratio experience: 1:1–2
- Charting system experience: Epic (required)
- Certifications: ACLS (required), AWHONN Advanced (required), BLS, and NRP
- Skills/care experience: starting and maintaining IVs (required), antepartum triage of obstetrical patients (required)
- Nitrous oxide experience/ability (required)
- Travel experience: not required
