Responsibilities
Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for PCU and stepdown patients, collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, monitor patient status, administer treatments, document care, and respond appropriately to changing clinical conditions and emergencies.

Certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
Documentation:
- Epic charting experience required
Respiratory:
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Chest tubes – Emerson/PleurEvac
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
- Nasal Cannula
- Non-invasive airway management
- Oxygen administration
- Oxygen tanks
- Tracheostomy care/management
IV Therapy and Phlebotomy:
- Blood product administration
- Central line care/management
- Peripheral line care/management
- PICC line management
- Starting and maintaining IVs
Work Settings:
- Cardiac telemetry
- PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown
- Telemetry
Genitourinary and Renal:
- Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI)
- Pre/post hemodialysis management

- Substance withdrawal

- Isolation precautions/PPE

Experience
- At least 1 year of nursing experience
- Experience caring for a 1:4–5 patient ratio
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience is not required
