Position Details

Responsibilities
Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients. Monitor patient conditions, administer prescribed treatments and medications, support procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team. Respond promptly to changes in patient status and participate in emergency response efforts.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification
- IV therapy and phlebotomy, including blood product administration, central line blood draws, peripheral line care and management, PICC line management, and starting and maintaining IVs
- Gastrointestinal care, including bowel obstruction management, colostomy and ileostomy management and care, and feeding tube care and management
- Respiratory care, including Emerson/PleurEvac chest tubes, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and oxygen tanks
- Genitourinary and renal care, including continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), pre- and post-hemodialysis management, and renal failure care
- Medication management involving heparin, insulin, and PCA
- Isolation precautions and PPE
- Wound care and wound vac experience required
- IV insulin protocols required
- Med/Surg experience required
- MS/Tele experience required
- Care for mood disorders and substance withdrawal
- Orthopedic trauma experience required
- Peripheral nerve block catheter experience required
- Total joint replacement care
- Surgical drain management
- Use of rapid response and code teams required
